Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

We called our kitten Sparta after seeing the film 300. It sounded funny introducing a tiny kitten with the words “THIS IS SPARTAAH”. Little did we know that the name would inspire her entire personality. Manic, murderous and mutinous, she stalks the garden like a leopard on the savannah.

This solar plate etching captures some of her intensity in the moments before she launches an attack on some poor, unsuspecting little mouse. The hunter in her is always lurking beneath the surface even when she is snuggling up to my socks as I’m watching TV. One wrong move and the claws are out.

Materials used:

Oil pigment onto Zercoll paper.
