This large painting was a fun one. I began with the idea to just paint a beach scene... a paradise bay type of thing, but it soon evolved into an adventure. Even a serene bay can be a place of tragedy in the midst of a storm. So I decided to put some wrecked ships on that beach. Soon an entire story unfolded in my mind and imagination. When it came time to name it, I was stumped for a while. I thought of naming it... New World... Pirates Bay.... Bluebeard's inlet... then it hit me. Who was my favorite Pirate? Why Jack Sparrow of course! Especially since he is played by a fellow Kentuckian, Actor Johnny Depp! Hence the name, "Sparrow's Cove".

This painting is sold UNFRAMED. It is wrap around painted on a gallery canvas so it is not necessary to frame if you don't want to. I have also included a picture as a conceptual pic in a white backdrop frame. This will give you a better idea what it will look like when it is hanging on a wall in your home. You can have your framer mount these in a deep box frame and give your artwork added dimension.
