My time in the south was some of the best years. To wake up in the heat use a cold shower to reduce the temperature was worth the good weather most of the time. I fondly remember running at 5PM from where I worked to get to the car in a downpour that always seemed to happen only then for a short while as the sun was shining. This painting is from Myakka State Park in Florida where I canoed a lot and took thousand of photographs. The sunsets were always the best out among the alligators and herons and hawks.
