Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Painted with brush and stick using colour drawing ink and a wet on wet method. I incorporated a variety of colours in to the vark and vigarous root system to capture the intensity of sunlight streaming through the shadowed wooded area. The background symbolises the dappled sunlight that flilters throught the many branches that surround the area.

It was the end of winter and beginning of Spring. A few trees had tiny green buds but most were still reeling from the intensity of the harsh winter gales and amost constant torrential downpours.

Inspired by a specific tree, which stands in the local woods.

This is an certified original and is sold mounted but unframed. It includes a Certificate of Authenticity which is signed by the artist. There is a limited edition series of giclee prints of this artwork.
