In the summer of 2022, I did my first serious hike in the Alps. Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the world's most famous treks that circles the snowy Mont Blanc mountain and lies through France, Italy, and Switzerland.

This mountain landscape painting shows the view we enjoyed on our descent from the mountain when finishing the French part of the tour and walking to Italy. This was right after we encountered Alpine cows in the pasture during our longest 12-hour day of the hike.

Tour du Mont Blanc was a healing experience for me because it was the first time I felt calm and at peace since the start of the war against Ukraine.

If you've also walked this trail or like hiking, you might feel warm and cozy looking at the snowy tips of Mont Blanc mountain.
