Artist's description:

This is a process where natural dyes, iron water from rusty nails, copper pipe, onion skins and the leaves, seed pods and branches from bushes and trees make a permanent print on silk fabric. The silk fabric is rolled up in leaves and boiled for 3 hours. When cooled it is unrolled and washed.

Each one is a one of a kind leaf print.
The silk fabric is then attached to a stretched canvas on a wooden frame.
I have painted the 1.5" sides a dark color with acrylic paint.
It is coated with a varnish for protection.
Hooks and wire are attached to the back so it is ready to hang.

Materials used:

silk fabric, copper pipe, rust, leaves, onion skins, canvas, wooden frame, acrylic paint
