This is from a series that is oddly resistant to language – they are abstract but not abstractions of any particular things. I have a sense that they are about some kind of movement or progress, yet they have a sense of calm about them.
I wish I could better articulate why they are pleasing but although they are oddly difficult paintings to produce I really enjoy them and people seem to respond to them really well.
This one is acrylic on 5mm plyboard, ideal for minima-looking tray framing.
