A moonlit Scottish landscape painting of Slioch a mountain Munro in the northwest Highlands of Wester Ross Scotland overlooking Loch Maree.
In this painting I have tried to capture the quiet and tranquil atmosphere of the rugged scenery of this remote and wild area, at night with the full moon shining on the calm water of the loch below.
Painted in cool monochrome blue tones and metallic silver paint on the water and a touch on the moon that creates a shiny reflection on the canvas.

Painted in a contemporary gestural impressionistic style with a palette knife and fingers.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
