Artwork description:

Slapton Ley is large body of freshwater trapped behind a shingle bank. Along one side is a path that runs close to the water and the many of the views are through the trees growing on the very water's edge.
I love the way in which the constantly rippling water reflects the light, and the water views are framed by the twisted forms of the branches growing over the ley.
This particular work was done after a workshop in woodcuts run by Rod Nelson, previously of Pine Feroda.
All my prints are printed in small numbers, by hand, which means that each one is unique. Most of these images shown the artwork behind glass, despite best efforts there are some reflections.

Materials used:

Hand made paper, printed with Caligo Relief Inks, Japanese Shina Plywood plate
