A haunting and nostalgic painting of the iconic Tower Bridge.
By allowing the paint to drip and run, the painting took on a life of it's own until it dried.
A mix of sombre and hopeful emotions are expressed in this limited colour palette of raw umber and prussian blue. A sense of poignancy is felt as the scene runs and falls from the canvas - a moment in time is captured before disappearing forever.
Reflected in the sombre waters is the cascading image of the red bus which brings a moment of focused colour amongst the swirling and merging paint.
Strung and signed on the back too. Varnished in UV resistant varnish for a lifetime of fade protection.
I love how my signature runs in the paint which seeks to leave the canvas.
