Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

The Eagle is often used to represent Justice and the power of good in the united states. In other countries it seems to hold a message of power and royalty. But these images have been constructed years ago, some during the brutal times of war. In modern society we do not look to animals as symbols for what a nation stands for, in general we have lost the ability to associate symbols with anything. More often then not, each generation looses touch with what once used to be the driving force behind human advancement; they are loosing touch with their imagination. People no longer read in-between the lines but rather right on them, believing what ever is told to them. This oil painting has been created to represent such a fall. What once used to be a looked up to, symbolized creature, is now struggling with the falling of human awareness and consciousness.
