• Artwork description

  Focusing through the abstraction and representation the work allows me to evoke an emotional and psychological experience. This is helping me to express my black identity, specifically in dealing with blackness through specific materials.
  The process of combining the acrylic and charcoal creates a moulded texture, which I believe the process of combining both materials evoke a sense of beauty out of the rough expression.
