'Sits In A Tree' is an original drawing in pencil and ink on hand stained paper. Measuring 140mm x 250mm this work shows a lot of texture and detail which has been added with the skinniest of pen nibs to create lots of detail to look at close up. I love to experiment with abstract shape and pattern within a drawing and my imagination meanders in a happy way as I draw using words to tell a small tale within the drawing......This beautiful bird has the emerald tree all to herself....'There is a bird who sits in a tree...and the whole world it is laid at her feet'.....these beautiful words have been adapted from a song my fiancee wrote and he very kindly agreed to let me use them...they suit her so well :)
