Just outside Shoreditch High Street station in London, there is a real mixture of old and new. This scene had caught my eye 12 months earlier, with the new apartment block still under construction and the old graffiti-covered railway wall in the foreground contrasting each other perfectly.
I was interested to see how the apartments looked once finished and returned in late 2013. The apartments were complete, but the railway wall had a new addition. A giant pink mushroom!
Shoreditch is a place full of street art, so I could only be impressed at the thought that someone had taken the time to create the sculpture and then scaled the wall to fix it in place for all to see.
The artwork is titled, numbered and signed on the front and back and supplied with an individual certificate of authenticity.
