'Shoal of Herring' is a limited run of just 30 hand pulled linocut prints. This is print number 6.
Each print is printed on quality Japanese printing paper using high quality oil based black ink.
The print itself is slightly larger than A3, and the carving process alone took 13 hours.
Due to the nature of the craft, each print is slightly different, which creates a truly unique piece of art.
All of my inspiration comes from the area I live in. Right on the north east coast I am surrounded by beauty. Herring is a regular catch along at my local fish quay, and I wanted to capture them in their glory.
