Artist's description:

This 38" x 34" Acrylic, Ink, & Pastel on Canvas piece was created in 2013. It was the Juror's Choice Award in 2013 ARC Gallery Show, "Mayhem" (San Francisco). It was selected by art consultant and critic, Alan Bamberger.

The piece is about duality, and how powerfully different parts of who we are can struggle against one other, creating internal mayhem. How do we embrace both sides and find peace? Or must we squelch one side so that the other can flourish? The piece was inspired by my own internal struggle over a variety of issues.
