Artist's description:

This is a painting I did back in high school in the year of 2011. This was an interesting and transformational time in my life. I was going through a pretty typical teenage depression at the time. Feeling separated, shattered and just drifting in space. This painting reflected the inner feelings I had at that time. I can definitely say, I am grateful to have had art as a creative outlet. It really gave me a sense of healing and understanding. I look back at this piece and smile, because I know that these things only happened so that I could grow and become a more wise and compassionate human.

This canvas was hand stretched by me in my 11th grade art class.
This piece was also awarded a Silver Key at the CCS Scholastics Art Competition.
