This one off unique etching print has been created using a series of processes where the print has been immersed in a tray containing a variety of oil and waterbased liquids, that will over time adhere to or not adhere to the surface of the fabriano paper. The idea explores the creation of an old looking piece of paper, something that has seen some history and has been recovered, found or revealed in the present day.
The image was created as a zinc etching pressed onto Fabriano unica paper stock, which is a firm paper for working with water. The liquids used are combinations of turpentine, water, hardground, a variety of pigments and collected rain water.
