Description :
Why eternal spear?
We still do remember William Shakespeare and his works and we will……for ever/’eternal’. His works and words pierce into our mind as ‘spear’. So because the title is “Eternal Spear”.

It is not fair Introducing William Shakespeare to you. Who was he? When he lived? What was he? Where was he? How he lived? All these questions are so familiar. So I am not going deep into it. But for the first time I, Shaheer Raazy, artist of this painting from India would like to introduce a master Painting of William Shakespear. It is not just a painting , it is a biography of him shown through painting and I do not know whether any one has attempted such method for representation.
Please see the painting on whole for a while. At the top you can see the ‘Globe Theatre’ which is the roof for the contents of my painting and below to it are some blue and black rectangles, they are nothing but keys of a piano. Why not black and white keys? – actually it is black and white, but blue covers the white superficially because blue stands for something important which I will explain in coming lines. So the out flowed music from piano adds thrill for Romeo and Juliet’s Duet dance.
Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespear ,but here it is only a moment of romance which they are enjoying with spot lights around on the stage of the Globe Theatre (modern aspect) You can also find candle stands and doors on either sides which is a part of Globe theatre’s interior.
London’s Flag has its own reputation. So covering all the above contents I have placed the flag like a transparent layer on top of it. You can see it with red lines and blue between them. This blue area as mentioned earlier covers superficially the white part of the piano.
Now coming to the topic William Shakespeare --- on the top left side I have painted some circles and a number 4, this is nothing but his year of birth (1564) and likewise on the right bottom side it is his year of death (1516), he lived for 52 years which in Roman letter you can see near to the year of Death.” William Shakespeare” has been written from left bottom to right top, it can also be considered as his signature which is one of the rarest of rarest things in the world. You can see 8 line painted above his signature, it shows his wife ‘Anne’ was eight years elder than him. To show they were couples, please see a diamond ring closer to the 8 lines. Also see a golden ear ring hanging from his signature, it is his ear ring which he wore in his left ear. Everyone know about his ‘Lost Years’ (from 1585 - 1592) which you can see at the bottom with a question mark asking where he was?
