Original artwork description:

Painted plein air on a hot early Fall day on Sauvie Island, near Portland, Oregon. The grasses have turned golden brown while green trees and sky are reflected in the river. It was the first day of hunting seasons, a locked gate barred entry further down the road, I looked around and found this serene view to paint.
