Artist's description:

I named this piece Serendipity as it came out by happy accident! I was ripping my way through a magazine, making coloured tiles from the pages, when I saw a photograph of a farmhouse surrounded by cypress trees at the head of a field of corn. I loved it and decided to try to transfer the idea to paper. Or rather, lots of little bits of paper! Unlike the original picture though, this one has a bright blue sky. Cornfields should always be seen under a bright blue sky! Despite how they look in the painting, the trees are also made from small squares of paper. This artwork has been varnished, giving a glossy finish.

Materials used:

Gesso primed paper, magazine paper, varnish
