Here is an oil painting of the Auvergne, France.
From the top of a mountain, I painted these two ponds. The sky, usually very present in my landscapes, is in the middle of the painting, in the reflection of water.
This landscape is a plein air painting, painted “alla prima” in one single sitting, with lively and spontaneous brushstrokes to attempt to capture the momentary effects of sunlight , the movement and the atmosphere.
This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
