Original artwork description:

I love this self-portrait by Adelaide Labille Guiard at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She paints herself in a beautiful gown and elaborate hat to advertise her ability to render drapery, etcetera. I applaud her being a female court painter in that time. I portrayed the painting with a visitor passing by, perhaps not appreciating this lovely painting.
