Artist's description:

Sea Turtle is made with Faber-Castell graphite pencils on paper.

I was inspired to draw this endangered reptile when it was revealed in 2016 from BBC Earth that the crew from Planet Earth II intervened with the natural world to, controversially, rescue the newly-hatched Hawksbill turtles.

In many cases around the world human activities have tipped the scales against the survival of animals in the natural world. Sometimes it is difficult to stand by and watch, nature will always survive if we can give it the opportunity.

Sea Turtles are slaughtered for their eggs, meat, skin and shells, these turtles suffer from poaching and over-exploitation.
