Sea otters are such fun and loving animals towards their own kind. So not to swim adrift from one another they hold paws. How romantic!
This Sea Otter Totem was first believed to be a beaver when I picked it up from the beach. After removing the old bark, I had to admit it bore exact resemblance to a sea otter. The natural colour of the wood looks amazingly like the fur of that sea animal.
The other piece that looks like some abstract coastal landscape also serves as a blue-gray background frame for the sea otter. Made from wood and fiber glass, this piece is believed to have been part of a sailing boat.
The metal part which symbolizes water element and sea waves used to belong to an antique oven. It was found in a metal dump and required extensive cleaning to look like its old self again.
A unique piece for the lover of this extraordinary sea mammal or simply for the admirer of truly unique collectables.
