Artist's description:

These statues are carved in the white marble of carrara. They represent the Oceanides, sea nymphs of Greek mythology. They were brought to Surrey, England in the nineteenth century. It's a magical secret garden and I had great light which really adds to the magical quality. I wanted to create the impression that the sea nymph is holding the sun in her hands, although the sun looks more like a star.

It's a digital image taken in a single shot, converted to black and white.
