Sorrento Beach - Series 5 -

'One of my favourite spots to paint is Sorrento, a seaside village near Melbourne. I have stayed there many times in the past 25 years, doing hundreds of colour studies and sketches.

I try to capture the light and movement, especially by designing the shapes and colour of clouds and rocks to create a colourful and harmonious scene.

Each painting has my own unique and identifiable composition, tone, and shape design. I don’t paint what I see, I paint what works.

I have been rewarded for my hard work by winning many awards at home and abroad. ​

Unfortunately, over the last three years a number of my paintings have been copied (identical details) and offered for sale by a previous student under their own name.

I wanted to let everyone know these copies exist so such unethical behaviour is not inadvertently rewarded.
