Drawing based on a sculpture in the Musee d'Orsay, Paris, Apollonie Sabatier, courtesan, muse and bohémienne as 'Woman, bitten by a snake' by Auguste Clésinger.
I like the idea of sculptures 'coming to life' and consequently I have indulged myself by adding colour to such drawings. Here Apollonie's hair is golden.
