Artist's description:
As we near the end of this year, in true Scottish tradition, let's think of old times. To mark this, here is a Linocut titled 'Auld Lang Syne', inspired by the poem by Robert Burns.
For auld lang syne, my jo,
for auld lang syne,
we'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
Printed in purple, this Scottish thistle, the National flower of Scotland is truly representative of the turbulent history, the fierce people and the stunning landscapes of this part of the world.
Printed with oil based inks on delicate Japanese Masa Paper. This is a small edition, and each print is inked and printed by hand, making each one unique. I also mix all my own colours.
The print will be sent framed in elegant black wood frame, packaged between sturdy mountboard, so that it arrives in perfect condition. It can also be sent gift wrapped directly to the recipient if being bought as a present.
Please do not hesitate to message me if you have any questions.
