When I first moved to Portland, Oregon four years ago, I went to this coffee shop to wait and look at an apartment from my soon-to-be-landlord for three years.
I remember, in the way one is hyper aware when you get to a new place, of all the details of the place - the tea pots, the girl's elongated reflection in the coffee machine, the stacks of cups. It is not only the scene I wanted to preserve, but the excitement of moving to a new place, as well!
pastels, acrylic paint
