This is the third painting in my series of Macaw paintings,which I have completed in the last few months.
The composition,based upon numerous reference photos of Bromeliads and Scarlet Macaws,took a weeks to create and draw,prior to the two weeks painting the composed scene.
An art critics review,following an exhibition in Toulouse,France" Julians' ability to bring realism to has work is astounding;More than photorealism, he paints what the human eye sees when viewing his subjects in real life. His use of light and shade,to create form,is second to none."
