Artist's description:

In early 1998 I discovered the Beach @ Santa Maria .... In those days you could park a car near to the Beach . So I borrowed a chair from the restaurant and made photographs on Fuji 50 film . The blues are fantastic and the white Chevronlet adorable. Such Memories of this area with the Family and my struggle to keep going. Photography is a struggle if your honest. I was at the time working in Savannah GA USA. Boy was that a Box of tricks.
I will write about that one day .... in fact," Covering Costs " is the title. The way we juggle ours lives is quite extraordinary. The Beach is still for Cubans but alas no cars allowed. The scene reminded me of Doctor No ... James Bond film. I saw this movie quite young and remember James being in Jamaica on a Sunday Morning ... well this was my Sunday Morning. Cuba is an extraordinary place.
We now use this image to promote the Photographic Workshops in Cuba.
