Dusk in one of my favourite places on Earth, Venice. There are only 60,000 Venetians that now live in their home city as they can no longer afford the property prices that have become inflated by the influx of rich outsiders buying up the city. So in the winter at dusk many Venetians have to board the Vaporettos to go back to their homes on the mainland and leave La Serenissima to the tourists...including of course me to wander the relatively deserted city at night and marvel at it's beauty. San Zaccaria is the name of the vaporetto stop.
Oil on mdf board, gessoed on both sides.
