My favorite part of the creative process is expressing my feelings while my oldest son with severe autism is playing his grand piano. I begin by choosing colors, but I never really have a plan at the beginning, other than colors. The process is moved forward by connecting with him and the pieces he chooses to play. He lacks the words to describe something, but through his music he is communicating his emotions and I display them in my choice of shapes, colors and movement.
For the past few months, he has been filled with boundless energy, this is reflected in this painting.
