Artist's description:

This painting is one of two very similar pieces. More about that in a moment.

While visiting Stockholm many years ago, I took a tour by boat. Between notable sites, we happened to pass an ordinary sailboat marina. My view of that marina from my boat is the basis of this painting.

As you can see from comparing this painting to my other work available on Artfinder other than the companion painting to this one, my usual style is quite different. For me, the style of this painting is partly experimental, partly a transition toward expanding and diversifying my style, and partly a tribute to certain well known 20th Century modern art masters whose styles provided inspiration for the style of this piece. (For example, Mondrian and Dufy.)

I painted a companion to this painting and am making it available too here on Artfinder. It's called Sailboat Marina - Stockholm - 1. Do you see the differences between them? If you're interested in purchasing both paintings, message me first; I'll negotiate a lower price to keep the pair together.

This original painting is sold unframed. It's on a canvas board; not on stretched canvas. You probably will want to frame it to your taste, as it's sold unframed.

Thank you for taking a closer look and considering this painting. Though you buy the painting itself, I retain unlimited rights to use and re-use images of the painting, and to make and use works derivative of it, for any/all purposes.

Materials used:

Limited palette of five artists' quality oil paints laid down on canvas board.
