Russian Troika II - Dilemma is the second in a series from St Petersburg - man attempting to tame the horse. I dubbed it Dilemma to reflect Russia's revolutionary history, aided by the contrasting red blanket against the white of the rest of the work.
I was inspired to interpret the Fontanka Canal sculptures in St Petersburg. Dilemma is the most dynamic.Although man has bridled him he continues to resist, highlighting the power and energy of horses.
Russian Troika 1 - Fury and Russian Troika II - Dilemma would work well as a pair in a large setting.
STOP PRESS: Russian Troika II, Dilemma is featured within an anthology crossing all types of art and with a wide selection of animals.
