I made sketches for this on a wild, windy day. I'd been spending some time in Anglesey but the weather had been calm. I was waiting for the wind to pick up so I could experience the sound of the wind against the sea.
A storm was approaching and the light was changing. The storm hit the coastline and the sea became rough with the growing wind. The wind churned the bottom of the sea up delivering a deep blue. The grasses bent with the wind and created a strong contrast to the deep blueness which were their backdrop.
