Two mouths intercrossing around an eye: this theme inspired me since long. This time, I have taken a pink and golden turmaline, or rubelite, of 0,82 carats in Spirit Sun cut with unequal depth on each half. It is set into my own 900 silver alloy with some gold addition corresponding to the golden lustre of the stone, and mounted upon a bell hand chased and hand engraved from a precast conical shape. The bell's pendulum is made of V4A stainless steel, immune to sweat and sea water and used a lot in navigation. Like most kinds of stainless steel, it does contain some nickel, which does not react with the environment at temperatures below 200° Celsius. Hammer is made in 950 silver. The bail is forged in 800 silver with over 12% palladium added, end forged. A warm and full sound goes together with a plenty of overtones, unique as the carved rip of the bell.
Signed and hallmarked inside the bell well above the brim.
