Artist's description:

My friends find it amusing that I can get so excited about apartment blocks. In Rosario, Argentina, a building caught my eye with its pattern of windows, balconies and light catching shutters. This lino print was inspired by it.

Whilst working on this, I kept thinking that it reminded me of books stacked on shelves and lots of people have asked if that's what it is... answer: it's whatever you want it to be.

I printed this in a limited edition of 12 but in varying colours. This listing is for the colour shown in the photo here (two shades of blue and silver) and is unframed. I printed just four in this colourway and the other three have gone!

There's an inky mark on the paper surrounding the print but it's about 1 cm out from the edge of the print so it won't be seen once you put it in a mount.

Materials used:

paper, ink, lino
