Original artwork description:

This was a day in July with all the challenges of the uniform green of a British summer made surmountable by the clouds providing dramatic light and shade. The shadowy trees in the distance have a hint of mystery; the sheep, although quite far off, play an important compositional role and the foreground has just enough in it to complete the picture. I tried to give the main focal point, the tree, as much life and movement as possible whilst being faithful to the actual colours.
