Artist's description:

I came back to this subject that I painted before, (See “Rockrose”, 2011). Early this Spring I was with my camera looking for the first rockroses in Monte del Pilar, near where I live. I had decided that I would capture a rockrose with a bee sucking its pollen, even if I had to wait all day long. I got a surprise: there were so many bees around that the problem was to find a rockrose without one. Rockroses must be a feast for bees, no doubt. This time I chose to depart from my usual photo-realistic stile, and left my imagination to play a (limited) role in the use of color and execution of this painting, made with acrylics

Materials used:

acrylics, rollers, brushes
