Artist's description:

Signed limited edition of 10 with certificate of authenticity.

The finished piece is meticulously proofed and printed on Moab Estrada Museum Rag, using archival pigment inks rated to last for 100 years or more.

I take about ten million photos a year using everything from a 4 x 5 to my iPhone (all photography in the art is original). Painting is done both live and using digital brushes. Textures are worked in (via photos of things like a leather chair or clouds) and at days end, I figure out what I'm trying to say. Sometimes.

Somewhere in Eastern Washington is this lonely road. I trusted the lack of traffic for two hours while I set up my 4 x 5 camera to shoot it. The smiling face is my son as a child. Who doesn't daydream about an open road and a child's laughter?
