Original artwork description:

ORIGINAL OGNYAN CHITAKOV ARTWORK !!!

2023, "River Stone Bowl II" - gneiss sculpture

This original river stone sculptural vessel is handcrafted by the Bulgarian professional sculptor Ognyan Chitakov. It has an authentic charm, keeping its natural irregular shape mixed with the unique artistic signature. The inside is hand carved in satin surface style. This exquisite object brings its beautiful creator's attention to detail, precision and quality.
Lovely is the authenticity of the natural river stone, its spirit and form are shaped by the waters of Chepelare River in the Bulgarian Rhodopi mountains. Please notice that the gneiss boulder is supplied directly from nature, it's not provided from stone quarries. Chepelare river takes its source from Rozhen Peak (around 1,500 m above sea level) in the beautiful Rhodopi mountains. It runs through the town of Chepelare, the Bachkovo Monastery, as well as Asenovgrad town further downstream, before emptying into the vast Maritsa river.

"The stone material is alive and has a soul. I never ignore it and its gravity as well. I try to give each artwork the feeling of lightness." ... by the artist
