Early morning on Little River in Georgia, USA. Not at first light, but early in the day. I've painted in this area a number of times over the years. It's near the ruins of the old Cherokee Rope Mill, about mid morning to early afternoon.
A steamy hot summer day in Georgia. I made a painting from almost the same spot the day after, but later in the day. The colors are so different just a few hours later. This is one of the challenges of landscape painting, that the light changes so rapidly as the day goes on.
Painted on location (en plein aire), this painting measures 8 x 10 inches on stretched canvas. The sides are painted black as shown. Sold unframed.
