Original artwork description:

My latest A3 illustration / painting is of a vintage record player I saw at a car boot sale last year. The radio worked on it but sadly the record player itself didn't work, otherwise I'd have bought it on the spot! I loved the overall look and design of the 60s / 70s style portable record deck - the sturdy plastic design and white, light blue, and grey colour scheme - so I decided to immortalise it in an illustration instead.

This is the latest in a new series of artworks looking at nostalgic objects from the past, painted and illustrated using my distinctive graphic / pop art style. It would make a great gift for any music lover or fan of retro items.

It is painted in acrylics and Posca pen on thick high quality A4 paper. PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a black A4 frame for display purposes.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.
