"Retini Landscape" is a project created by using different techniques in different situations. The landscape was born en plein air, then it has been superimposed a work painted in the studio. Than it has been superimposed the picture of the landscape through the copy transfer technique, and then ulteriormete worked with markers.
The project consists of 4 pieces. Make me an offer if you want to buy the 4 pieces together.
Around the year 2000 along with some artists, we used to go to the mountains to paint "en plein air" landscape, using only watercolors. We spent the day to produce countless studies, that then everyone was using as a draft according to its needs.
This period spent painting the mountain landscape has been very important to me, and laid the foundation for a subsequent point in my art where I experienced the abstraction of the landscape itself.
After studying the landscape of the mountains from the truth, I began to apply my knowledge in the studio, developing a work of abstraction on the structure of the landscape.
In these works that I called "retini landscape," I used different techniques to achieve a stratification of perceptions. This work are watercolors, photocopies transfert, markers that add signs.
I love to explore the outside world with a deep look and see how it is modulated in my mind through the language of painting.
