Original artwork description:

With time, a person will feel it is time to reinvent themselves when life has turned into a routine or become uneventful. With art I was in love with how far I had came. I hard started from scratch and continued to experiment with every painting. With more than a full years time since my last huge experiment, i strongly believed it was time. It was time to drop the brush, change the color pallet, and pick up the knife. This piece goes back to my studies with the old masters and my encounters with modern day techniques. I wanted to used my signature style that I had developed, but I wanted to change it up with a new thick paint flare. This piece was done all with oils and and pallet knife. That's it. It's as organic and natural as can be. The background is made from old quotes from a book and stained with various techniques to give it a vintage weathered look. To essentially give it a look that had inspired me from my trip to Lithuania. This piece's underlying concept is that it is never to late and never to early to put yourself in a uncontrolled, uncontrollable scenario and try something new.

Materials used:

Grumbacher oil paint, pages from recycled quote book
