Artist's description:

I spent years living in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley. This painting reminds me of the wonderful times there.

The process: During my exploration of cold wax medium and oil, I discovered alcohol inks and Yupo paper. Yupo is a synthetic paper often used by abstract watercolor artists. It will not absorb any medium. Alcohol Ink is often used by scrapbookers to make backgrounds to place photos on. This painting is a combination of the two. There is very little control when working with alcohol ink because it spreads where it wants to making wonderful designs. No two pieces will ever be the same.

This painting is mounted on Cranson's Illustration Board and matted with a white mat. Standard size of 8"x10" makes it ready to just pop into a frame and hang. It is signed on the front under the mat and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Free Shipping in the USA.

Materials used:

alcohol ink, Yupo paper, rubbing alcohol, brushes
