Due to the war against Ukraine, I was forced to leave my home and art studio. I spent almost a year in France.

Every morning since moving there, I passed by my neighbor's garden and saw this orange rose. It was blooming in April, July, and October, and I feel it will stand firm for more months to come.

I found it incredible how this rose survived all these months and weather changes. And so this rose became my inspiration for watercolor artwork. I find it symbolic of my nation and full of hope for a better future. That's why sunlight shines through this watercolor rose, highlighting its delicate petals and strong core.
