Painted onsite in Minneapolis, MN. Features a deep red Maple tree in full autumn color, aglow in the afternoon sun. Autumn grasses and a fence rest beneath the tree. Touches of golden tan, green and blue indicate the trees, grass, and sky in the background. The background is painted in casein paint, which dries to a matte texture. This contrasts with the tree, which is painted in oil paint using a palette knife to create the thick texture in the leaves. There are also highlights of iridescent oil paint in the leaves and grasses, creating a subtle shimmer. Framed in a wood frame with a brown finish and gold inner edge.
